Da Mḥend mi d-yuli si ṣuq
yebwid acwari yeččuṛ
yesedu wuγuṛ
d-axxam-is kan ig wala

tameṭut-is tnawel
tsersas-d ṭaṛbut n seksu
ad yečč, ad yeṛwu
ternas-d aftat s-ufella

yeqim ad yečč imensi
i jelbed wemcic si tγuṛfett
yennay-as : « hmett ! »
s-weftat-nni yegla !

ad dmeγ kan aεekwaz
ur yi-d-yeṣaḥ ad qimeγ
naγ bitt ad ččeγ
axxam-a yifit lexla

aha ziγ anwa ar a uwteγ ?
ad uwteγ tameṭut-iw ?
sneγ tameṭut-iw
ayi-d-uγal d-lεella,

aha ziγ anwa ar a uwteγ ?
ad uwteγ amcic, yeḥṛec
gwadeγ ad-iyi-xbec
aṭan-is yeγleb tawla
